Afghanistan Winter Crisis Fundraising Event

AWCA Fundraising Flyer Final

We would like to invite you to join us in an important event to remember, talk about and support the victims of recent winter avalanches and natural disasters in Afghanistan.

Afghanistan is a country at the cross roads of the ancient silk road and in the heart of Asia, where since 2001, over 10,000 Afghan soldiers have lost their lives and another 20,000 civilians have been killed in the ongoing war.

The suffering of Afghan people took another unfortunate turn last week when on Wednesday 25th February, strong avalanches caused by a severe winter has killed over 300 people, destroyed hundreds of homes, schools, mosques and has affected thousands of people in Panjshire alone.

Several areas have been affected, with the victims often being farmers, shepherds or operators of small businesses such as groceries. Families have been devastated and children left orphaned in one of the deadlist winters that Afghanistan has seen.

We need urgent help to reach the vulnerable children, women and elderly to provide emergency aid in the form of food, shelter, medicines and blankets.

Please come along with friends and family on the 14th of March to raise funds for affected victims.

EVERY SINGLE PERSON FROM ACROSS BRITAIN IS WELCOME TO JOIN US TO HELP AND SHOW THEIR SUPPORT FOR THE VICTIMS OF AVALANCHES IN AFGHANISTAN
